Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 1 reviews.

I've fitted a few CYC Photon Gen2's to Specialized Fatboys now with great success. The 100mm version is all that is needed and it mounts up perfectly without spacers (mind you I use a custom off set bushing to space out to the internal 46mm BB shell of the frame). The stepped motor bracket that comes with the 100mm kit will need some grinding relief, even with the off-set BB bush to the front, or the flat plate bracket that comes with the up to 83mm kit will be required and two custom 6mm diameter tube spacers applied to the wings of the motor bracket (easier fitting option). Also, be sure to only order the 32t or 34t chainring option so you don't have chainstay clearance issues. The final chainline is probably still inside the standard 2-by set up bigger 38t chainring. Everything else is straight forward fit. The Q factor distribution is pretty good. the drive side crank is only about 10mm wider of the chainstay on that side. Great quality product that is very easy to set up.
